1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using MassEdit ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

MassEdit is operated by MassEdit ("we," "us," or "our"). These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and MassEdit.

2. Description of Service

MassEdit is a web-based tool that enables users to perform bulk find-and-replace operations across multiple Google Docs documents. The Service connects to your Google account via OAuth to access and modify documents on your behalf.

3. Account Registration

To use MassEdit, you must:

  • Create an account with a valid email address
  • Provide accurate and complete registration information
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Connect a Google account with access to the documents you wish to edit

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Google Account Authorization

By connecting your Google account to MassEdit, you:

  • Authorize us to access your Google Docs and Drive on your behalf
  • Confirm that you have the right to modify the documents you select
  • Understand that changes made by the Service are your responsibility
  • Can revoke access at any time through your Google account settings or MassEdit settings

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Modify documents you do not have permission to edit
  • Distribute malware, spam, or harmful content through document modifications
  • Attempt to circumvent usage limits or security measures
  • Interfere with the operation of the Service or other users' access
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code from the Service
  • Use automated tools to access the Service beyond normal usage patterns

6. Subscription Plans and Pricing

Free Trial

New users receive a 14-day free trial with the following limitations:

  • Maximum 5 documents per job
  • Maximum 10 replacement rules per job

Paid Subscriptions

We offer the following paid plans:

  • Yearly Subscription: $96/year with unlimited documents and rules
  • Two-Week Pass: $35 one-time purchase for 14 days of full access

Billing

  • Yearly subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled
  • You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the billing period
  • No refunds for partial subscription periods, except as required by law
  • Prices may change with 30 days' notice

7. Document Modifications

Important: The Service modifies your Google Documents directly. By using the Service, you acknowledge that:

  • Changes are permanent unless you use Google Docs' version history to restore previous versions
  • We strongly recommend creating backup copies before processing large batches
  • You are solely responsible for verifying the results of bulk operations
  • We are not responsible for unintended changes resulting from incorrect find/replace patterns

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, and code, is owned by MassEdit and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our written permission.

You retain all rights to your documents. We claim no ownership over content you process through the Service.

9. Privacy

Your use of the Service is governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE
  • ACCURACY OR RELIABILITY OF RESULTS
  • UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION
  • COMPATIBILITY WITH GOOGLE'S SERVICES

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MASSEDIT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

  • INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES
  • LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES
  • DAMAGES RESULTING FROM DOCUMENT MODIFICATIONS
  • INTERRUPTION OF SERVICE OR ACCESS

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MassEdit from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any third-party rights
  • Documents you modify using the Service

13. Service Modifications

We reserve the right to:

  • Modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time
  • Change features, pricing, or usage limits with notice
  • Terminate accounts that violate these Terms

14. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on Google APIs. Your use of Google services is governed by Google's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for changes to Google's services that may affect the functionality of MassEdit.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.

16. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
